CONTINUATION OF THE SPLITTENDENCIES PROGRAM AT THE FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURE AND GEODESY IN SPLIT: CRISTINA DÍAZ MORENO & EFRÉN GARCÍA GRINDA | AMID.CERO9

Following the successful inaugural symposium recently held in the foyer of the Croatian National Theatre, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy (FGAG) is pleased to announce the continuation of this year’s international public lecture series on architecture — SplitTendencies 2025–26 — and invites you to a lecture by Spanish architects Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda (amid.cero9, Madrid).
The lecture will take place at FGAG (Matice hrvatske 15, Split) on November 11, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM.

About the lecturers

Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda are the founders of the architectural practice amid.cero9. Established in 1997, their practice is distinguished by a research-oriented approach to architecture, focusing on contemporary urban, technological, and cultural challenges. Both have extensive teaching experience (Harvard, Columbia, AA, Princeton, UCLA, Bartlett, Mendrisio) and are currently professors at the Institute of Architecture (IoA) in Vienna.
Their projects have won over forty national and international competition awards, and El Croquis dedicated issue no. 184 to their work. Their projects have been exhibited multiple times, including at the Venice Biennale, the Oslo Triennale, the London Biennale, and in São Paulo.

About the program

SplitTendencies is a public and open program organized by the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Split. By hosting distinguished international lecturers, the program creates a platform for dialogue on contemporary architectural tendencies and practices.
