Guest lecture by Chilean architects Sofía von Ellrichshausen and Mauricio Pezo of the Pezo von Ellrichshausen studio from Chile was held at FCEAG. Prior to the lecture, which was attended by a full amphitheatre, Sofía and Mauricio visited the Design Studio 2 course led by professor Toma Plejić. Students had the unique opportunity to present their projects and receive valuable feedback and advice from two internationally acclaimed architects who teach at some of the world’s most prestigious universities, including AAP Cornell in New York, Harvard GSD, and IIT Chicago.
The lecture offered a comprehensive insight into Sofía and Mauricio’s architectural and artistic practice, in which the two disciplines intertwine inseparably to form a singular creative and poetic approach to the shaping and documentation of space. They presented their extensive body of realised projects, the theoretical foundations and philosophy underlying their work, as well as their broad artistic and visual production. Among the presented works were internationally renowned and widely published projects such as Loba House, Solo House, Poli House, and many others.
